IMPACT Program
The IMPACT Program’s purpose is to connect with Ysleta del Sur Pueblo (YDSP) community members in pursuit of continuing higher education while providing individuals with essential tools to succeed in a rewarding career.
The IMPACT Program delivers opportunities for community members and assists students in reaching their full potential as responsible tribal citizens and leaders by providing essential cultural values and life skills to ensure the success and sustainability of future generations through their efforts in postsecondary education.
High School Services
The IMPACT Program provides services to high school students such as:
Tribal Council Scholarship
The YDSP Tribal Council Scholarship recognizes student leadership, achievements and encourages academic excellence. The scholarship is available to all YDSP graduating high school seniors who reside in the Tribe’s service area (El Paso/Hudspeth County/Doña Ana County). Scholarship recipients must enroll in an accredited institution within one-year of graduation.
Career Online High School
Career Online High School is a resource for students ages 19 and older who did not complete a high school diploma due to, but not limited to, work schedules, familial responsibilities, and accessibility. The program offers flexibility to balance both work and school, so one can earn their high school diploma. The program is funded by the Department of Tribal Empowerment and is 100% online. While a student obtains their high school diploma, the student will also develop specialized skills and advance their career with a career certificate.
