The goal of the Department of Economic Development is to create sustained economic development policies and equip members with knowledge and skills to create economic opportunities. In turn, the community achieves its own self-sufficiency and financial stability. The department provides financial, entrepreneurial, and tribal government support services while preserving and protecting the Pueblo’s culture and traditions. The Financial Support division aims to provide economically disadvantaged persons and businesses tailored resources and programs to access new sources of capital. The Entrepreneurship Support division offers workshops and sessions to increase the likelihood of members’ success in their business ventures, while the Tribal Government Support division provides ancillary services such as grant writing and the management of community service. The Workforce Development is the hub for education, employment skills and training, job placement services, financial literacy, and income tax assistance.
