Wellness Center Profile
In 2001, the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo (YDSP), a federally recognized Indian tribe, established the YDSP Recreation & Wellness Center. The center also known as the "Multipurpose Center" is a 100,516 square foot state-of-the-art facility that accommodates an Olympic size pool, a fully equipped gym, indoor basketball and racket ball courts, outdoor patio and picnic areas and a banquet facility with the capacity to serve 234 individuals.
The Wellness Center’s provides quality service and is available for your event or party needs. The facility’s southwest, pueblo, yet modern architecture provides a serene and pleasing environment. It is available for a rental fee and is utilized for private parties, organized recreational events, swim meets and conferences. Fees are subject to the section of facility requested, size of group, and hours or days needed.
The Tigua Recreation & Wellness Center is multi-purpose facility has the capacity to be adapted to address you’re specific function. Hosting a party? Rent our indoor and heated pool and patio or banquet facilities. Don’t like to swim? The diner style banquet area can host your theme party. Perhaps your company is planning an employee retreat? The Wellness Center’s private and secluded location provides the perfect setting to improve your corporate culture and reduce employee stress levels. The following amenities are available:

In the spirit of community cooperation, the Pueblo also collaborates with the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, El Paso County and City of Socorro in an effort respond to surrounding community emergency needs. Therefore, the center has been designated as a Red Cross Emergency shelter.
Regular Hours of Operation: (limited to tribal members and guests)
Tuesday through Saturady 2.p.m. - 8 p.m.

Special accommodations can be made for days and hours of planned events or parties as negotiated with Tigua Recreations Welness Center managment.
Location: The Recreation & Wellness Center is located on federally designated trust land set aside for the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo. This area of the Pueblo is located within the City of Socorro, Texas 30 minutes from downtown El Paso, Texas and 29 minutes from the El Paso Airport and easily accessible from Interstate I-10.
