| The annual Salida de los Santos (Exit of the Saints) officials marks the beginning of the preparation for the Fiesta de St. Antonio the Tigua Feast Day. The Salida begins with the procession of the Santos from the home of the First Mayodomo to the Ysleta Mission church where a mass is held. Immediately following mass, participants walk in a pilgrimage of four groups in the four directions offering the saints to traditional households along each route. The households are allowed to receive the saint into their home and to make either a monetary or can food donation as on offering to San Antonio. Each family receiving the saint is invited to attend the Feast of San Antonio on June 13th. |
